For over a decade, artist Ayano Tsukimi has been creating life-size dolls to represent the deceased residents of a small Japanese village. Today, the dolls outnumber the villagers 10 to 1.

Nagoro is a small village in Shikoku, Japan.

image

Resident and artist Ayano Tsukimi returned to the village after an 11-year absence only to discover that many of her old neighbors and friends had either moved or passed away.

image

The town population is also dying, and has dwindled down to about 35 people.

image

But there are over 350 doll-people living there.

They are taking over.

You can even see them on Google Maps.

-WEAPONIZED GODFLESH-

Pure-blood Angel types. Without the wisdom of the intelligence to aim them, the first weapons fell to divine madness.

After their abandonment by the original intelligence; the first weapon’s acclimation to sentience was strenuous for the first trillion cycles. Conflicting visions on how existence was to be maintained lead to SCHISM and secession from mainline reality.  The aftermath would give way to the wild multiverse and allow for the first proto-infernals and early god-types to emerge.

I have a thing for the angelic hierarchy, and this scratches that itch.😄

dongcena: Hey uh, I dunno if you've heard of this but I thought you should know. There's a yearly tradition in Queensferry, Scotland called Burryman Day, where they cover a guy in giant burrs and parade him through town, feed him whiskey and he brings you luck. There's a super good video on YouTube about it if you're interested. Hope you're having a good day~

i thought my initial idea of what “covered in burrs” meant was gonna be enough to give me an accurate visual but i looked them up and i was VERY wrong
